Chibiki Lock (the “App”) helps users review app usage time and configure usage locks. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.
1. Information Handled On Device
The App handles the following information on the user’s device:
- App usage history, usage time, and session information
- Installed app names and package names
- App, category, and whole-phone lock settings
- Apps allowed during whole-phone locks
- Block history
- CSV export data generated by explicit user action
This information is used to display usage time, enforce configured locks, show reports, and support user-initiated CSV sharing.
2. External Transmission
The App does not send usage history, lock settings, categories, or block history to a developer server. Cloud sync and external server storage are not implemented.
CSV export and app-to-app integrations run only when the user taps the relevant action. Data handling by the chosen destination app is governed by that app’s privacy policy.
3. Usage Access
The App uses Android Usage Access to calculate per-app usage time. This information is processed on the device for usage display and lock decisions. It is not sent to a developer server.
4. Accessibility Service
The App uses an Accessibility Service to detect when a lock target app is shown in the foreground and to display a blocking screen according to user-configured limits and allowed time windows.
The Accessibility Service is not used to collect typed text, passwords, payment information, private messages, or unrelated screen contents. Information handled by the Accessibility Service is not transmitted externally.
5. Data Storage And Deletion
The App’s data is stored mainly on the user’s device. Users can delete locally stored lock settings, categories, block history, and related local data from the App’s Privacy screen.
Deleting the App from the device also deletes local data stored by the App.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has entered personal information into the App, the data can be deleted on the device.
7. Security
The App strives to handle user information appropriately on the device. However, information may be exposed through device loss, operating system or third-party app settings, or user-initiated sharing. Please use care when storing or sharing important information.
8. Changes To This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. Updated terms become effective when posted on the App distribution page or another location designated by the developer.
