Ayumiru (the “App”) records the user’s location history, visits, movement, and step counts so the user can review their own activity timeline later.
Information Stored on the Device
The App stores the following information locally on the user’s device:
- Location information, including latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, accuracy, and timestamp
- Detected visits, movement segments, and timeline information
- Places, memos, and groups registered by the user
- Step count data
- App logs used for troubleshooting and operation checks
This information is generally stored on the user’s device. The App does not automatically send location history or step count data to a server managed by the developer.
Information Sent to External Services
OpenStreetMap
The App uses OpenStreetMap map tiles to display maps. When maps are displayed, map tile information based on the visible area, IP address, and technical request information may be sent to OpenStreetMap tile servers.
Nominatim
The App can use OpenStreetMap Nominatim reverse geocoding to show addresses and facility names for visits on the timeline.
Nominatim is used only when the user consents. If the user consents, the latitude and longitude of visits are sent to Nominatim. If the user declines, the App does not use Nominatim to fetch visit place names, and only place names registered by the user are shown.
This setting can be changed at any time in the App’s settings screen.
Data Export and Sharing
The App allows the user to export recorded data in formats such as CSV, GPX, and GeoJSON. Exported files may contain precise location history.
The user chooses where exported files are saved or shared.
Timelook Integration
The App can integrate with Timelook when the user chooses to record visit or movement time ranges in Timelook. Timelook’s privacy policies are published at the following URLs:
- https://yalkey.net/privacy-policy-timelook-en/
Permissions
The App uses the following permissions:
- Location: to record routes, visits, and movement history and display them on the map and timeline
- Background location: to continue recording movement history while the app is closed or the screen is off
- Motion and fitness: to record step counts
- Notifications: to inform the user that background recording is active
Third-Party Sharing
The App does not sell the user’s location history, step counts, memos, or registered places. Except where required by law, the App does not provide this information to third parties without the user’s consent.
User Controls
The user can change permissions granted to the App at any time from the device settings screen. The user can also change whether Nominatim is used for place-name lookup from the App’s settings screen.
